About Me

Hello Students and welcome to Ninth Grade English with Miss Nocera!

Educational background:

I am a Pace University graduate were I spent five years and received my BA/MSEd in Adolescent Education and Educational Technology.

With that being said, I hope to be able to bring the world of technology into our classroom as much as possible, considering it is found all around us! Although I hope to do this, I think it is also important to look past technology and master ELA skills without our computers and tablets.

I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you and helping to develop your reading and writing skills, and knowledge.

Personal background:

If I am going to ask each student to share about themselves, I feel it is only fitting that you know who I am! I grew up in Long Island, NY, right near Stony Brook University. I am a middle child with two brothers, Lucas (two years older) and Aidan (five years younger). My father is a retired NYPD (Police Officer) and my mother is a retired Physical Therapist. Growing up, I had two dogs, three cats, and many gerbils. Saying I am an animal lover would be an understatement. There is only two things I love more then animals and that is my grandfather, Ronald and teaching!

Throughout middle school and high school, I played field hockey and was able to continue my career at Pace University for four more years. Although hockey is my favorite, I love sports of all kind! My favorite teams are the Giants, Rangers and Mets.
